May All Our Writing Goals Flower
in the New Year!

When do you stop saying "Happy New Year" and just get on with all those resolutions? We're working on ours - including making TWC the best it can be. We've got some new ideas for 2019 and are improving on our old routines. And we're resolving to work on our own writing through the winter break and beyond!
We hope all your writing goals for 2019 take bud and flower this year. |

Since our last newsletter, we've been busy on the blog! First, Laura Romain gathered impressions of our 2018 Autumn Writers Retreat participants - along with some wacky photos - in The Magic of a Writing Retreat.
Judith shared In Praise of Beta-Readers, including some great tips for those of you who have completed a polished draft and need feedback at this critical stage in your writing.

Congratulations to Steph Auteri for being named one of 35 over 35. This annual list celebrates authors aged 35 and over who published their first book that year. Launched in 2014 as an alternative to the publishing industry’s celebration of wunderkind authors, the list includes debuts from all categories.
Congratulations to Chris Kapp for having work accepted by Gavel and The MacGuffin!
Lisa Romeo, had a new memoir piece, "Hands off the Black Jack" published in
