Writing a college essay can be a highly stressful part of the application process. This workshop, consisting of two sessions held one day apart, will guide students toward a draft of their college essays while introducing stress reduction techniques that will ease them through the college application process.
Sarah Lyman Kravits brings more than two decades of experience writing about and coaching high school and college students on success strategies. She is a co-author of the Keys to Success series of textbooks published by Pearson Education and used at colleges around the nation. As an expert in student success, critical thinking, and study skills, Sarah teaches the New Student Seminar at Montclair State University, and has given workshops on student success topics to both students and faculty at a variety of schools and conferences. For over 20 years, Sarah has read applications and interviewed candidates as a member of the Northern New Jersey regional selection committee for the Jefferson Scholarship Foundation at the University of Virginia.
