Over the last decade, book publicity has transformed with the onset of digital media, social media, and branding. All authors, no matter how they publish, need to take a DIY approach. The challenge is learning how to identify your work’s potential and target the right people and places in the best possible outcome.
In a small group, Claire McKinney will help writers devise a promotional action plan for their work. Claire will address what kinds of media, events and social media platforms are most beneficial; how to devise a promotional plan and when to set it in motion.
Participants should send their first three chapters, complete manuscript or proposal
no later than May 10th
for Claire’s preliminary promotional review.

TWC’s two-hour per day, week-long program is chock-full of writing games, wacky prompts, and time to sink into a favorite book just to read! Our story starters are unlike anything they've seen in school and our interactive games and prompts are an irresistible invitation to start creating. In a collaborative, energetic environment, kids will let loose and the words will fly.
